Meet Dr. Mora

Dr. Luis Mora joined the Arrhythmia Center of South Florida in July 2015 and currently serves as the Director of the Electrophysiology Department at Bethesda Hospital East now part of Baptist Health South Florida.

He served as an intern, resident, and chief resident at Emory University, where he subsequently continued his training in Cardiology. After finishing his training in Cardiovascular Diseases, during which he also served as a Chief Fellow, he continued and finished his training at Emory University in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.

Dr. Mora was the first physician in Florida to use the POLARx™ Cryoablation System for atrial fibrillation.

His clinical interests include Left atrial appendage closure for prevention of stroke in atrial fibrillation, epicardial ablation of ventricular tachycardia, and new device technology and leadless pacing.
